From one connection to an ecosystem
Empaithy has grown along two lines. One is the journal, used by individuals on their own terms. The other is the intelligence we build for clinicians and care teams, held to one principle: the system never makes a diagnosis, and every clinical judgement stays with the clinician.
EmPulse is where those two lines first meet.
What EmPulse is today
Today EmPulse is a report. A person who has been journalling and screening can share a summary of how the weeks have gone, at one moment, with one person they choose. Nothing is shared by default, and nothing is shared without them deciding to.
What comes next
What comes next is a connection that stays open for as long as the person wants it to. Context moves both ways. A clinician can see how the weeks have actually gone, and what they learn in session shapes what the person reflects on next.
That connection changes more than one relationship. It changes how people find care in the first place.
Finding the right person
Most people who need support do not have a therapist. They have a sense that something is off, and no clear idea who to turn to.
We are building towards a marketplace of mental health professionals within Empaithy. Someone who has been journalling and screening will be able to find the right person for what they are going through, and arrive at a first session with months of context already in hand, shared on their terms.
For professionals, it means meeting people who already understand something about their own patterns, and spending the first hour on care instead of starting from zero.
For the organisations around them
For the organisations that fund and deliver care, the same thread runs through. Continuity between visits stops depending on memory and goodwill, and becomes something the system is built to carry.
Individuals, professionals and the organisations around them have always worked from different pieces of the same story. We want to give everyone the whole of it, with the person at the centre deciding who sees what.
The standard we will hold
This is harder to build than any one of these alone, and we intend to build it carefully. The standard we hold on the clinical side, grounded in established instruments and guidelines and not in benchmark scores, will apply to everything that connects one part of this to another. The system will not diagnose, and the person will stay in control of their own record.
Most of life happens between sessions. We are building for all of it.
